Full-Time / Exempt JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Grow Manager position is responsible for assisting the Sr.
Management Team of cannabis growing operations for Glass House Farms.
This person is also responsible for the proper care of the greenhouse including the principles and practices of cannabis cultivation, propagation, pest and disease control as directed by the Sr.
Management Team.
JOB DUTIES Executes the cultivation plan according to the company's production plan.
Follows the type and timing of the preparations, crop tending and cleanup.
Scheduling the required activities for maintenance of the plant's life cycle Manage the growing environment for optimal plant growth through irrigation, temperature, climate and pest & disease control systems in accordance with grower instructions.
Organize, direct, control, and/or coordinate activities of workers engaged in propagating, cultivating and harvesting.
Manage irrigation technicians, and direct Labor Manager on weekly cultivation needs Track labor efficiency and suggest appropriate changes in labor crew to meet company goals.
Assist cultivation team in establishing and maintaining a program to record crop growth data (weekly crop report, climate report, maturation report, production, etc.
).
Performs other duties as assigned by Sr.
Management SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS In-depth knowledge of large-scale, commercial cannabis cultivation including crop rotation management, nutrient requirements, grow mediums, light requirements, and environmental control.
Competency in use of climate computer controls.
Knowledge of the entire cannabis growth cycle and requirements.
Must be adept at industry best practices and current on new techniques and insights with respect to individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments, different lighting systems and set ups.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment.
This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week.
Willingness to work weekends.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
MENTAL/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to work in conditions typically found in a greenhouse with high humidity and varying temperatures, with a fair amount of moisture present.
Ability to exert up to 15-50 pounds occasionally in order to lift and move product.
Ability to balance, reach grasp while climbing on a step stool and/ or ladder.
Ability to crouch, grasp and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor properly.
Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or GED Must have a minimum of 7 years' agriculture or equivalent company experience At least 5 years' experience in a management role required Travel may be required per company needs and must provide a clean DMV record Job Type:
