This individual will ensure that the FBO maintains the highest service standards, observes all company procedures, and offer safe and efficient operations to our guests.
The Line Service Manager will promote the FBO values, vision, and guiding principles and create a positive team environment that raises the level of service to our guests and employees.
About Us Channel Islands Aviation is one of the longest running affiliates of Cessna Aircraft Company in the country.
We became a Cessna Pilot Center, Cessna Service Center and Single Engine Dealer in 1976.
When Cessna started building single engine piston airplanes again in 1997, CIA was rebranded as a Cessna Sales Team Authorized Representative through 2011.
To this day, CIA remains an active Cessna Pilot Center for flight training and Cessna Service Center for aircraft maintenance.
Channel Islands Aviation has multiple FAA Certificates.
We operate an executive charter business with our Part 135 Charter Certificate through CI Jets.
We have a Part 145 Repair Station for maintenance and a Part 141 Approved Pilot School.
These certificates and approvals make CIA unique as we are the only business at the Camarillo Airport to enjoy all these approvals under one roof.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Problem solving is a core competency.
Line Service Manager must be able to work with the other departments to resolve issues related to customer, service issues, and other aspects that relate to the FBO.
Establish and maintain schedule for all Line Service Employees.
Train, develop, and coach Line Service Technicians in accordance with established procedures including adherence to safety standards, and service standards, accurately and efficiently completing job functions, and other tasks related to the FBO.
Motivate and encourage all employees to provide the highest service levels.
Serves as the primary contact for Line Service Department to recruit and interview applicants for the Line Service Department and completes new hire paperwork.
Manages and completes performance reviews and disciplinary actions promptly and within scheduled timelines established by FBO leadership team.
Maintains training records; works with leadership to ensure compliance with regulatory and company training requirements.
Work in conjunction with Line Service Leads to ensure all fuel QC inspections are performed correctly and staff is properly trained.
Procure equipment, supplies and other required items for the department within budget guidelines.
Communicate with the team any changes or additions to departmental or company guidelines.
Suggest way to improve internal processes and safety.
Perform all responsibilities of the line service technician at a high level including marshaling, towing, fueling, aircraft services, and other required tasks.
Anticipate the needs of pilots and passengers.
Assist customers (passengers & pilots) with there needs including luggage, ground transportation, accommodations, and any special requests.
Greet all customers with a warm welcome.
Act and perform safely and efficiently.
Be aware of the surrounding and comply with all FBO and Airport policies and procedures.
Ensure team members follow procedures and remains safe.
Track inbound and outbound aircraft with customer service to ensure aircraft are handled without delay.
Other Duties and Responsibilities Maintain FBO grounds including cleaning the hangar floor, disposal of trash, minor maintenance and cleaning/upkeep of the facility.
Answers phone calls, processes transactions, assist passengers with rental cars and hotel reservations, ground transportation in FBO vehicles and place catering orders.
Watch the weather and make appropriate decisions when adverse weather is approaching to ensure employees an customers remain safe.
Assist with after-hours support, a shared responsibility amongst all team members.
Assist with any other tasks as required by the FBO Manager.

Experience:
FBO Line Service in a supervisor or management role:
3 years (Required) License/Certification:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
